Ayurveda has been a very old practice of medicine, which has existed for over 5000 years. The principles of Ayurveda revolve around the three core forces of a human being. Vata (wind), kapha (mucus) and pitta (bile) are the three forces of Ayurveda. In the Vedas, it has been mentioned that Ayurveda is a part of life – a bond between the soul and nature. A balance of these forces helps in the proper functioning of the mental as well as physical health. When this balance goes out of proportion, the body faces all kinds of sicknesses.
Being the ‘science of life’ (meaning of Ayurveda), all the medicines and products are derived from natural resources like herbs and plants. Our body goes out of balance due to many factors like anxiety, diet, unhealthy eating habits and drinks, weather, wounds or place of stay. Over the years, the doctors have explored the herbs and plants to find their medicinal qualities in order to create herbal medicines for various ailments. Diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, menopause are some of the illnesses that are being treated successfully by Ayurvedic medicines.
Allopathic medicines do provide relief quickly, but, researches conducted by WHO have shown that more than 80% of these medications cause side-effects. Many people are moving back to using herbal medicines to treat different issues. However, it is not possible for us to go hunting for the right Ayurvedic medicines these days, isn’t it? With the introduction of herbal medicines online finding the right information of every medicine and purchasing has become really simple.
