| Subject: Calcium/Magnesium (Zinc too?) Supplements, Tired Legs, Lactic acid, etc. etc. Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:41 pm | |
| I'll cut to the chase, is there any kind of supplement out there one might take for tired legs?
This discussion has one poster in the forum recommending a Calcium/Magnesium supplement. Another one says "cal-mag-zinc."

And I read a few other forum discussions. Any opinions?? Or suggestions?
The original product in question is called "sportlegs", well, that might be okay and better but it looks like "experts" feel you can probably find a good alternative at a more reasonable price.
Any responses are welcomed.

Just in case anyone is curious, here are additional conversations on the product.

| The obvious question is why are the legs tired? If you heavy squatted yesterday, then rest & food will be the best recovery for example. Bear in mind supplements are just that, they 'supplement' a good diet, make sure the diet is in order, loads of green veggies (you can even add a green powder to your shakes if you like). Make sure you are getting enough water, also enough calories down you as well. Assuming all that is in place & you're not overtrained (that can be by things outside the gym as well as purely gym work). Then anything with magnesium certainly won't hurt as magnesium is a component in muscle relaxation. Rather than a supplement mind you I would consider first diet & recovery, next things like massage, stretching & self myofascial release techniques, lastly supplementation.
I haven't time to read those other threads right now, as I got to run, but if it's just tired legs | |
