| There was one study that started the caffeine/creatine antagonist story. The results 'seemed' to indicate that one worked against the other. I don't think that has been found again - as a side note if you look at creatine research several of the studies used creatine & a placebo, to disguise the creatine a drink that contained caffeine was used & didn't appear to stop gains in those studies. I'd say if you were concerned or didn't see gains then maybe think about choosing, but if you're getting gains & the caffeine & creatine both appear to be working, then I wouldn't worry. | |

Robbie I use pure caffeine powder; just 200mg - 1/16th teaspoon - is enough to get you hyper enough for a sweating-blood-out-of-your-forehead workout.

| I was trying to think if one could mix up a basically "home made" NO Xplode or at least, try some of the ingredients without going "pre-mixed", so I got some L-Arginine amino acid capsules. The directions on the bottle of Arginine suggests one drink it with a carbonated drink to facilitate absorption.
That's why at least it seems NO-Xplode fizzes up, they make it that way but I'm not positive if some other Nitric Oxide varieties do that.
----------
Caffeine, basically many of us are addicted to it and in some ways, I don't like that, I've tried to cut way back, some of those get you way up BUT...
"Coffee is also a powerful stimulant for peristalsis and is sometimes considered to prevent constipation. However, coffee can also cause excessively loose bowel movements. The stimulative effect of coffee consumption on the colon is found in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee."

I also don't like the way a cup of coffee like quite a few other things out there, can sort of loosen things up inside at inopportune moments. Seems it may do that more now than when I started drinking many years ago. That said, I've cut way down on caffeine and basically only drink black tea though that isn't that much different.
Caffeine, especially in western civilisation I think is depended on way too much. | |
