I have an FM radio/disc/tape player in my gym, usually I listen to jazz from earlier eras (Bix Beiderbecke was the greatest tenor horn player in history) while working out.
But since I expect to be in Paris in the spring I've been utilizing a "listen-and-repeat" French language series of lessons to rehearse my self-taught-French language learning.
Sometimes I have to pause in mid-lift to think of the French phrase for "My aunt's pen is on the table," and sometimes I have to count reps and ignore the French.
Does anyone else work out to equally distracting self-improvement audio input, or am I the only silly one...?
